ABOUT ERIC HIGGS

Eric Higgs is a nationally recognized sculptor based in St. Petersburg, FL. He creates fine and functional sculpture in the primary mediums of stone and metal. Talented in lighting and painting, Eric is rapidly expanding his portfolio.

Higgs has been chosen for numerous public, private, and corporate commissions, including the city of Tampa public sculpture “Conversations”, City of Phoenix “Passages”, City of Sarasota “Dignity”, Whole Foods Market “Horizon", Chihuly Collection lighting installation, Mitsui Collection, Charles Schwab corporate office park “Crossroads”, amongst others. Many of these projects received awards and recognition.

Higgs’ artwork has been showcased in solo and group shows throughout the U.S., France, and Japan. His work is part of the permenent collection at the French national museum, Chateau Musee de Vallauris and Mitsui corporation.

A native of Chapel Hill, NC, Higgs received his bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Fine Art from the College of William and Mary in VA. After working in Washington D.C., he earned his MBA from Stanford University.
